mrs rashied is on MC today, and i took over her lessons for 4OPAL. goodness me, they are a bunch of really hyper kids lah. their noise level is
SUPERRRRRRRR high, and my voice is like half gone by the time we're done with the day. but they do make me smile a whole lot. haha! they are really cute when they say,
"goodbye miss ng! see you tomorrow!" they are slowly opening up to me, and accepting my presence in class. (: most of them are talking to me, and even telling me stories, and what happens to their day. (:
just as i'm starting to get use to the class, my shadowing period is ending soon. ): awwww. i'm seriously going to miss this class of kiddos after this week if i don't get to teach them anymore. ):long hours of talking = drinking my nalgene clean. standing for a little too long, and walking a bit more than usual in heels = tired legs with red toes. ): but it's still worth it. (:anyhow, after classes today, went with mummy to AMK HUB to collect my altered clothes. (: but i still haven't got myself new year clothes, and for this season, the fashion seems to be very much tunics-galore. most of the shops have got tunics placed at the front of their shops.
*humphs* it's difficult for me, 'cos it's difficult to match tunics to working pants. ): need to comb more shops and places for more clothes for CNY!
OOOOHHHHH! mummy bought daddy a watch just now, and the aunty was really nice to give me
ANDY LAU's 2008 CALENDAR! (; i was gaga-ing over andy lau's poster in those cupboards promoting his endorsed
CYMA watch, so the aunty asked if i wanted his calendar. at first, i thought i heard andy lau's cupboard poster, and i was super high. but she repeated, his calendar. i said
YES super quickly. haha! now andy lau's sitting on my table! (;
12 ANDY LAUs. (((((:
I'M WATCHING "DIM SUM DOLLIES"! (: 24th february '08 is the day! (; lovelove to caihua who's watching it with me, not forgetting, my little sister! (;

KUDOS to "RESONANCE OF A THOUSAND STRINGS" for their enchanting performance tonight. (: YAYS to my little sister for being such an awesome player, and enjoying herself to the brim. (:the performance was at SCH, and upon reaching, memories flood back like nobody's business. the moment i step into the lobby area, i could clearly remember where we lined up, and sat down to wait, the toilet we went to, the place where i got so nervous and leong had to hold my hands and give me warmth, the place where me & grace did our last minute practice on our birdy calls and running notes, the place where me & jasmine the two SLs gave our members our hugs and well-wishes. (: the flight of stairs linking to the concert hall's backstage brought me countless memories and the anxiety i felt on 26/04/2007 was all back once again.
when we proceed into the concert hall, i could remember the cold air, the huge stage with white walls that really project the entire stage. as i sit at the audience area, i could clearly remember behind the two side doors was the backstage. the area where i panicked till the point i cannot bring myself forward to watch NJC perform, and james had to hug me to cheer me on and calm me down. when the doors opened and closed to allow members to enter and exit the stage, reminds me of how the crews of SCH open up the doors for us to enter the stage, and before we enter, one of the crew said,
"alright millennia, it's SHOW TIME and good luck!"the stage clearly identified itself, and i could visualise myself standing right in the middle. i could imagine miss wee being there, right at the front of the stage, with her podium. i could feel the entire ensemble's presence, as though they are really there, with the angklungs surrounding the kulintangs. i could feel the tension on stage once again, and i could practically feel myself being on stage and catching up with those running notes, my own solo, and those birdy calls.
i miss MIAKE. ): the MIAKE that's full of bustling all over the place, the sound of drums jamming by kiat, the jumbled up noises from all the instruments during self-practice, the always warm and welcoming HARMONIS, the squeezy HARMONIS when we had our syf training, those night practice, and our MIAKE camp. i miss those chatty and gossipy moments, those fun and worry-less cca days filled with nothing but smiles and laughters. i miss the companion from MIAKE, those who can bring my mood from really pit bottom to the peak all the time and those who really stayed by. MIAKE is my miracle and happy pill from MI. i really wish for the MIAKE spirit of madness, fun and laughter to continue on and on... and never fade.

i've got a pretty sexy voice! haha. it's the aftermath of 1.5 hours of teaching, and about a total of 1 period of class controlling. the kids' voices are like louder than mine. no matter how much i shout to make them keep quiet and sit down and listen to me, they don't seem to bother about me. they just keep talking and shouting across the classroom, as if i'm not there at all. whenever i raise my voice a little, they raise theirs even more. in the end, they are the ones blabbering instead. best of all, it's not one or two kiddos talking. the whole class is super united, and they talk at the same time! goodness. just by shouting alone makes my voice sexier. haha!but, teaching is really fun. (: i do enjoy teaching, especially when i have lessons with them. (: although i only have one period of mental sums and two periods of english with them, they do bring joy and laughter to me. (: i didn't feel good and hype today, so i went to school with a rather heavy heart. but during their maths lesson, the way they tease one another, the way they spur their classmates on, the way they want to win their group more stickers on their group charts really make me laugh my heart out. (:the p4 class have really adorable kids to whom my heart goes out entirely to. like, wilbur, he talked to me and asked me about a lot of things, like how come i can work just after A levels, at what age can he start working. and there's yong yoon, who's really small and cute, and he loves to solve maths problems. the monitor, terence, another cutie who tells me that he is very "suay" on wednesday, because he got ink on his shirt and he fell during pe. there's dylan, who's definitely a swimmer judging from his tanned skin and goggles mark round his eye. there's melanie, who is really hyper and outspoken. there's boon pin, who's the noisiest in class, yet he can be really cute, by asking me about his art file, whether he did a good job at drawing. there's sin yee,who's really cute and sweet. 4 OPAL is really an awesome class. just that they need to learn how to quieten down and give me more attention. (:i was asked to relief a p3 class today, and the kids there are really uber cute. (: they showed me how to make a president smile. they are referring to the president on our money. although i knew that trick already, but the way they try to tell me how to do it, and show it to me, and even borrow money from me to make one for me really makes me smile widely. (: they are really easily amused, although they claimed to be tired when coming to school 'cos they got to wake up early. haha. a really cute bunch of kiddos. and as compared to the p4 class, they are a lot more well-behaved. they don't talk when i'm talking, and they listen to my instructions. (: i guess different classes will have different styles of behaving, and i'm still learning in progress. (:i think i've learnt quite a lot through these four days at work. (: although i left earlier on wednesday and friday, but i covered my minimum of 5.5 hours before i left. the staff are all really sweet and friendly, always on a lookout for me when i need help, always there to flash me their friendliest smile and greeting me in return when i greet them. (: most of the staff i met along the way asked if i'm new as they don't see me around before, and asked about what i did before i joined KEMING. (: they also made an effort to guide me along, helping me to get use to the school surrounding and operations at a faster pace, and they really make the effort to remember my name. (: i told them that they can call me by my name, and they raelly do. i feel warm and welcome. (: aunty alice is a real dear in the general office. she never fail to add "darling" whenever we meet, and the same applies when she meet other staff along her way to other places, or even while she's sitting in the general office. (: mr tay, mrs yip & mdm cheum have been really nice and caring as well. (: i had companion for lunch yesterday, if i'm not wrong, her name is mrs yap. (: she's 4 OPAL's science teacher, whom i bumped into while waiting for her to dismiss 4 OPAL and allow me to take over. (:i'm really happy to be able to go to school everyday, although i'm quite free for the bulk of the day due to the shadowing part. but i think things are getting better and will get even better as days past. (: i'm looking forward to the official teaching period, which is when i will really be on my own handling classes. it's a new challenge waiting for me to embrace. (:

SHIRLEY's EMPLOYED! (; i will be doing relief teaching at KEMING PRIMARY starting from tomorrow. (: starting off as a teacher aide for two weeks, before moving on to tutoring. the P & VP of KEMING are really nice. the two admin staff that helped me today were awesome as well. (: the female admin staff reminded me of MRS HENG! haha. she was like "morning dear, hello dear..." to the students who enter the office. and when i was asked to come back tomorrow, she went, "welcome to KEMING my dear, see you tommorrow my dear..." ((: a BIG thank you to mr tan, for recommending me this really wonderful opportunity, and to mr tay & mrs yip for accepting me into KEMING, to allow me to fulfil my ambition since young. (: i'm really excited for tomorrow! although i'm going to be a teacher aide for IT for the next two weeks, but at least i will get to learn something new while working. (: yayness! i'm no longer slacking and living a boring life with absolutely nothing to do. (: with tuition classes on every tuesday & thursday, my week will be bustling with activities! but, i may face a tight schedule for tuition, and tuition days may need to be changed for a better arrangement. well, for the sake of the fun & experience i'm going to get from teaching, and the sponsoring of my own retail therapy sessions, it's definitely worthwhile! (:i love being back to school, and i feel so near MI when i was at KEMING. (: both schools are not really like super far apart, but they are quite close to one another. actually, whenever i took bus 66 home from MI last year, i sure DID pass by KEMING, just that i didn't really go notice it. haha. the feeling is really awesome although i'm in a different position now. (: i still love school a lot a lot. (:revamped my wardrobe again! more more clothes to choose from now! (; but i find working rather troublesome, because i got to try to avoid my attire from clashing and repeating within a short period of time. which means, i seriously need more clothes than i thought and as compared to in the past. those oversized tees are definitely out of the choice, and jeans are not allowed in school due to formality. okay, there's still a lot to work for. haha!FACEBOOK application, "what your birth month reveals about you" seems to be pretty accurate when "revealing" me & my character. hmmmm...

i had an AWESOME dinner last night. (: met up with some MIAKE dearies, to give those boys who will be enlisting this month a "farewell" dinner. (: awww. i miss them luh. it's really great to see them again. (: junlong's "disappearing" on the 9th, kiat, ben & tuankiak will be "disappearing" on the 11th, and leong's turn is on the 25th. (: byebye to their hair! haha. when they book out, we're so gonna dig them out again, and see their botak heads! haha. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME! (;
leong, tuankiak, kiat, junlong, ben, claris, grace and cj. (:my iPoot decided to die on me. ): got to get it repaired soon, if not i'm so gonna faint of boredom on bus rides. oh, and bus & train fares are really HEAVY now! no more 45cents, no more concession. ): everytime i hear the ez-link machine beep, my heart falls. i miss school, i miss my 45cents public transport fares! i NEED to pass my TP on the 23rd for goodness sake. if not, just transport fares are enough to bug me for weeks! *RAHS*[add]new header photo! (: took the left angelic photo last night before we left town. yayness! (;talking about missing school life, had my uniform on today when i went to receive my bursary award. the feeling of don-ing MI's uniform again is, GOOD. (: the student feel is all back and people really take me as a student. haha. i seriously miss school to the brim. ):[/add][addadd]

goodbye 2007, HELLO 2008! (: a fresh new year to begin with, and may it be a year filled with a truckload full of fun and excitement waiting for me to embrace and uncover. (: crossing over from 2007 to 2008 made me think a lot about the wonderful '07 i've been through, and those who went through the year with me.from 01/01/2007 to 31/12/2007, i grew up as days past, and i'm no longer the shirley of 01/01/2007. the shirley standing here right now, has grown up, more mature with new perspectives and aspirations. (:along the way, new friendship blooms. i made a lot of new friends from TTC and widen-ed my social circle, especially my dearest 05a2 classmates and teachers, who made my last schooling year in MI even more interesting and fun-filled. (:the many ups and downs made me a stronger girl, and at the same time, realising who are those who really stayed by and are willing to stick with you through everything and anything. i used to think, as long as i take out my true-est heart to treat others, others will reciprocate and do the same. but i was wrong and i ended up being really upset. well, at least true colours did reveal, and in the end, i didn't lose out by a lot, but gained a lot more instead. being able to realise who are those who really care and love me, and also deserve my care, concern and love in return, means a lot more than losing a couple of "so-called good friends". friends and loved ones who were with me through those darkest moments, especially during april '07, i sincerely thank you all a whole heap and i really love you all to the max. (:2007 was a year filled with fun, love, tears, excitement and tension. i miss those mugging days before we set off for our 'A's, especially the last week of preparation before i had my CLA paper. mugging heads and butts off with ignatious and caihua, having consultation till as late as 8pm, and feeling those stress and tension from head to toe. it really wasn't easy, and we actually did it. amazing indeed. a quick flashback for the highlights of '07. so much for 2007. i'm missing those days, especially my beloved MIAKE. ): i'm missing school as well. today's the start of a new school year, and my house is empty with only me, my grandma and my maid. my sisters are off to school, and beginning to chiong for their new school year. watching them pack their bags and getting ready for school last night make me jealous. i've been getting ready for school reopen for 13 years, and now i no longer need to do so makes me feel empty and lost suddenly. i'm missing school days, missing those books and tutorial classes. although some lessons could really bore me to the brim and on the verge of dozing off, i still miss school. at least, i'm occupied with something to do and to think about. now are the days of slack-ness and trying to look for something to do out of nowhere in the house.
oh yea! my chiang mai trip. (: it was a pretty awesome one, and really an eye-opening experience. (: we didn't get to do much shopping because our main purpose for going to chiang mai is to pray. although we spend most of our time in the temple, and it does bore us out a little, but it was overall fun. (: we get to see FIREWORKS LIVE! (: live as in, those that burst out from those boxes after being lit and bursting into the air type. actually, i also don't know how to say. but we saw fireworks cracking up in front of us from those boxes into the skies. (: the bursting sensation could be felt and it was really cool. the fireworks bursted out just above our heads and the sparks fell onto the ground and above our heads as well. haha. we even get to lit mini fireworks from fireworks sticks. it was really fun and the sticks jerk backwards whenever one pops outs. (((((: we even saw firecrackers! hahaha. it was really fun and exciting, but i seriously don't know how to put them in words. it was a really awesome experience. (:
we counted down to 2008 twice while we were at chiang mai. (: once during our singapore timing, and another time for chiang mai's timing, which was one hour behind ours. (: we lit fireworks again! haha. we are the only singaporeans there, so the near to 40 of us were like super high and crazy. we were really really high and the "SHI FU" was super happy that we were there and making the entire event so high and joyous. (:
okay! i don't know what else to blog about for now. oh ya. i've listed down my resolutions for '08 on the left column. i hope to strike off as many as i can as i move along. (: another thing. from today, there's only 21 DAYS TO TP! ): it's time i get back to my practice at SSDC. oh man, i have to face the weird feeling of going back to SSDC again. *RAHS!*
